3.15 Tampa Bay Meat Goats - RB De'Anthony Thomas

In the real world: The Kansas City Chiefs lost Dexter McCluster to the Tennessee Titans in free agency, and it was just after they were really starting use him. In McCluster's final eight games as a Chief, he had 37 receptions for 325 yards and 2 TDs. Multiply that by 2, and that should give you some idea of how Reid would like to use Thomas. Another thing--the current #2 running back for Kansas City, Knile Davis, is still recovering from knee and leg injuries suffered in the playoff loss against the Colts. Thomas has great speed--I'll never forget the TD the "Black Mamba" scored as a true freshman for Oregon in the Rose Bowl two years ago against Wisconsin--but he didn't do much to prove he belonged in the same class as the other backs Oregon has turned out in recent years.
In the TUFF world: My guess is, Jeff Rathburn would have loved to have landed Thomas at 3.16 to handcuff to Jamaal Charles. But this is not a cheap shot by Tampa Bay for losing to Houston in TUFF Bowl XIV--they really could use the RB depth. Aside from Zac Stacy and DeMarco Murray, they don't have a lot.
