3.05 Dallas Junglehawgs - QB Tom Savage

In the real world: Savage didn't produce a lot in college, but that was because he transferred twice. He started at Rutgers, transferred to Arizona, lost a season due to transfer rules, but then Rich Rodriguez came over and installed his system over there, transferred again (to Pittsburgh), lost another season, and finally started for Pitt last season. He later said that if he had to do it all again, he would have just stayed at Rutgers.  He played well (11 TDs vs 3 INT), and he has a lot of the tools scouts look for in NFL quarterbacks.
In the TUFF world: This pick bolsters Dallas' QB depth surplus because they now have two of the Houston Texans' quarterbacks, specifically the starter (veteran stopgap Ryan Fitzpatrick) and future QB Savage. They have three other young signal-callers (Ryan Tannehill, E.J. Manuel and Mike Glennon) as well.
