3.01 Dallas Junglehawgs - WR Martavis Bryant

In the real world: Bryant didn't produce much in college, but that's because he was stuck behind star receivers like Sammy Watkins and DeAndre Hopkins. What he does bring to the Pittsburgh Steelers is a terrific size-speed combo (6'4", 211 lb., 4.42 speed, comparable to Cody Latimer in that respect). He'll compete against second-year man Markus Wheaton, free agent arrival Lance Moore and possibly fellow rookie Dri Archer for the receptions Emmanuel Sanders used to get before he went to Denver. Oh, and Ben Roethlisberger likes tall wideouts--he reportedly lobbied for Limas Sweed six years ago.
In the TUFF world: Here's who New Orleans should have taken at 2.16. Bryant has the better size-speed combo, rated higher by Scouts, Inc., ranked higher by NFLDraftScout.com, ranked higher by just about everyone on footballguys.com, and a better job situation. I see a key similarity between this pick and Dallas' second-rounder, Donte Moncrief (2.04)--both are boom-or-bust prospects who were inconsistent in college. However much I like this pick, though, I was surprised that Dallas didn't opt for TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins here, then hope for Bryant to fall to 3.04. The Junglehawgs could use an upgrade at tight end.
